Carignan is often a background player in the Southern Rhone but this old-vine varietal version from the northern border of Chateauneuf is exceptional. Full bodied and earthy with a beautiful tannic texture supporting notes of blackberries, pepper, soil, and smoke. A new favorite of ours.
