A re-release of an excellent vintage!

Impressive, estate grown & bottled Cabernet from one of the most iconic American producers. Lush and surprisingly approachable with fine-grained tannins. Complex aromas of black fruits, leather, and violets lead to a full bodied palate layered with cassis, and toasty barrel spice from 21 months in French oak (60% new).

The 2014 vintage is sourced from three estate plots - mostly the Yountville site was utilized, with a bit coming from Rutherford and Calistoga. Each contributes outstanding fruit and a sense of place from this outstanding vintage (near-drought conditions helped foster intense, low yields).
