Made of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc this Grand Cru Bordeaux comes from the much heralded 2010 collector’s vintage. The wine ferments in concrete before aging 22 months in first and second use oak barrels. Great finesse on the aromatic nose of dried cherry, plums, violets, and orange peel. The luscious palate is loaded with notes of dark berries, black cherry, tobacco, cedar, cocoa, herbs, and some awesome minerality on the finish from the clay and limestone soils of the chateau. This is currently drinking at peak and should have no problem holding there for the next 5-7 years. Organically grown.
