This Pomerol chateau dates back to at least 1785 and grows the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon on the right bank. 2005 was a banner year across Bordeaux and this wine is just hitting its stride. After spending 15 months in 70% new French oak barrels the palate explodes with deep blackberry, blackcurrant, bacon fat, chocolate, smoke, and cedar. The estate is farmed organically.
